The Blackberry Bold 9700
Here we are on a dreary Saturday afternoon, in NJ, thus my desire to do my first ever video. It is pretty bad, but hey…there is a first time for everything. The Blackberry Bold 9700 was released by T-MOBILE in the US and available for pre-order by businesses on November 9, 2009. I was lucky enough to be able to get my hands on one and thus I wanted to share it with you. This is not a full blown review, simply a video showing some key features and the speed. There are enough reviews out there where another is not necessary.
The 9700 is a great new Blackberry with speed that I have yet to see on any model out there. If I have any gripes they are related to the lack of 3G coverage by T-MOBILE. However, that is the only negative. The positive aspects definitely win here in that the device offers UMA (phone calls over WI-FI), WI-FI, and EDGE connectivity. The camera is a 3.2mp with auto focus, image stabilization, and a led flash. The voice quality is superb and the built in speaker, loud and clear. (NOTE: The original BOLD had stereo speakers, while this one does not.) The screen is gorgeous and very high resolution….480×360 to be exact. Head on over to Blackberry for the full spec sheet.
Now without further delay…my premier as a videographer:

The speakers are decent. I have played with the equalizer yet. Out of the box it could use a bit more bass.As far as the media player, it can be hard to navigate at times. It’s real only functionality is that it categorizes songs. There are no features that include ratings or lyrics. I do, however, like it a lot better now that I know you can sync your itunes playlists with the BB.
