Windows 7 x64 RTM on a MAC
The time has come, August 6th is near, and that means that Windows 7 RTM will be available to a larger audience then it was when it was announced. For those that do not know, RTM stands for Released to Manufacturing….or FINAL Build that will be available in retail boxes on October 22nd. I, naturally, had a copy pretty early on so I could test my installs and sure enough not much has changed in the install process. Therefore, I decided to do a quick post with links to all of my installs using various methods. The posts are all based on Windows 7 RC but all apply to RTM as well.
UPDATE: 08/07/2009 Another post on a clean install of Windows 7 RTM.
- Install Windows 7 x64 on a Mac Pro via BootCamp
- Install Windows 7 x64 using Parallels Desktop
- Install Windows 7 x64 using VmWare Fusion
- Install Windows 7 x64 using Sun’s Virtualbox
The above should get you started with how you can get 7 on your MAC. The following link will take you to all of my stories about Windows 7 x64…I urge you to take a look. Interesting posts about speed, performance, and overall experiences.
Thanks for stopping by…please share your thoughts and your experiences via the comments so we can all learn together.
