Comcast Docsis 3.0 (D3) Pricing Plans!

This post is a follow up to my earlier post: Docsis 3.0 Modem / Speed.

I called Comcast so I could clarify what packages were available and their respective costs.  The conclusion is that the so called ‘Extreme’ service is not yet available in my area and thus I must stick with the standard D3 service plan.  I only utilize Comcast for internet services and thus my cost is higher then customers that use bundled packages.  So, without further delay here are the costs and speeds:

• Standard D3 Service – 30mbps down and 7mbps up – $79.95/Month (unbundled price)
• Extreme D3 Service – 50mbps down and 10mbps up – $116.95/Month (unbundled price)

I am currently at the Standard rate plan which puts me about $10 over what I was spending on regular broadband service.  I have posted my speed tests and currently they average about 50mbps down and 5mbps up.  Please take a look at the post linked above to see details.
